Officials: 61-year-old Lexington man distributed child porn
A Lexington man is facing more than 100 years in prison if convicted of distributing child pornography.
Peter J. Gregoire, 61, was involved in distributing child pornography through a file-sharing networking, according to a news release from S.C. Attorney General Alan Wilson’s office.
Officers from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department, which is a member of the INternet Crimes Against Children Task Force, arrested Gregoire Wednesday. Lexington Police Department, also a task force member, assisted in this case.
He was charged with one count of second degree sexual exploitation of a minor and 10 counts of third degree exploitation of a minor. Each count is punishable by up to 10 yeras in prison.
Gregoire was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center under a $990,000 bond.
