Lexington police seek suspect in gas station robbery

The Lexington Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating a man wanted for armed robbery.

An unidentified black man allegedly robbed the Rainbow Gas Garden, located at 911 South Lake Drive, on July 24 according to Public Information Officer Cpl. Cameron Mortenson. The man allegedly demanded money while pointing a firearm at several employees at approximately 9:25 p.m. said Mortenson.

The alleged robber was dressed in all black with a red bandana covering his face, said Mortenson, adding the man might have fled in a vehicle parked nearby.
