Suspect purchased TVs during shopping spree with stolen card
Surveillance cameras caught a man who deputies believe used a stolen credit card to treat himself to a shopping spree.
Deputies are working to identify a suspect wanted for fraud after surveillance cameras caught him making purchases using a stolen credit card July 7.
The victim’s wallet was stolen from her purse at an unknown time and place, according to a news release from the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.
The suspect purchased two flat screen TVs and several electronics, spending about $2,000 at Wal-Mart at 10060 Two Notch Road.
The suspect also purchased three gift cards valued at $102 each at Sunoco gas station, 10018 Two Notch Road.
The suspect was described as a while male in his mid-40s. During the incident, he was wearing khaki shorts, a gray T-shirt and a black hat.
