Shooting on Hickory Road investigated by Richland County authorities

Richland County is investigating a shooting Thursday evening that sent one man to the hospital.

Deputies responding to a call before 7 p.m. on the 300 block of Hickory Road in Lower Richland found a man shot in the lower body, said Curtis Wilson of the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

The victim was taken to the hospital. His condition is not known at this writing.
