Columbia police investigate drive-by shooting early Friday morning

Around 12:30 Friday morning, a car sped through the 100 block of Lorick Circle (off Lorick Avenue) and popped off several gunshots. Although no one was injured in the shooting, several apartments were struck by bullets, Columbia police chief Skip Holhrook said in a news release.

Police are looking for occupants of a car captured on surveillance video leaving the apartment complex around the time of the shooting.

Investigators “would like to speak to the occupant or occupants of this vehicle about what they may know about the shooting,” Holbrook said.
