Man injured in shooting near Allen-Benedict Court
Columbia Police are investigating a case in which a man was shot in the leg near the Allen-Benedict Court complex.
A man told police he was walking along Heidt Street shortly after noon, when he was shot in the leg, according to a written release by the Columbia Police Department. Investigators says the man made it to the intersection of Oak and Richland streets, where he called police.
The man, who was not identified in the release, was taken to the hospital. The shooting is still under investigation.
