Friendship 7 space capsule replica lands in Columbia – for the afternoon

W.A. Perry Middle School students and other visitors to Richland 1's Challenger Learning Center Thursday sat in a life-size replica of Friendship 7, the Mercury capsule astronaut John Glenn rode in as he became the first American to orbit the Earth. The replica was at the center as part of the Aerospace Support Chain meeting held at Challenger.
