Here’s some bad news for all of those kids who celebrated when they missed school because of bad weather – they have to make up those lost days.

At least Lexington Two students are the first to be informed when they’ll be making them up.

Two days previously scheduled as holidays for Lexington Two students, March 12 and April 9, will now be regular school days.

Those will be school days to make up for time lost on Sept. 11, 2017 because of Hurricane Irma, and again for the snow day on Jan. 17.

Districts are required by state law to designate three makeup days in their academic calendars in the event that schools are closed and instructional days are missed because of inclement weather or other events.
