Bad news kids. Remember when you celebrated missing school because of bad weather? Well you have to make up the lost time.

Lexington One has joined a number of other Midlands area school districts in announcing when it will recover time for the snow day on Jan. 17.

March 30 will serve as a severe weather makeup day for Lexington County School District One students.

Lexington One is already using Feb. 19, as a severe weather makeup day, to recover the day missed on Sept. 11, 2017, because of Hurricane Irma.

Districts are required by state law to designate three makeup days in their academic calendars in the event that schools are closed and instructional days are missed because of inclement weather or other events.

Lexington Two students will make up lost class time for the same bad weather events on March 12 and April 9.

Lexington-Richland School District 5 will have a makeup day for the snow day on Feb. 19, which was initially scheduled as a teacher workday. Feb. 19 is also President’s Day.

Richland District Two will also have its makeup day on Feb. 19.
