University of South Carolina released new logos Wednesday afternoon.

The University of South Carolina is getting a new look.

USC announced it will be releasing four new logos in a Wednesday afternoon tweet. Earlier in the day, the university teased the release by changing its profile picture to one of the new logos captioned with: “New year. Fresh look. More soon. #UofSC #NewProfilePic.”

The new branding leans heavily on the school’s push to rebrand its abbreviated name as “UofSC.”

Though the “Athletics” logo of the letter C and the gamecock is listed beside the updated logos, the university said that brand will stay the same.

“We’ve refreshed a couple of the marks,” USC spokesman Jeff Stensland said in a text message. “We’ve also updated the ‘trees and gates’ to make it look a little more modern and balanced. (This) doesn’t impact existing athletic marks.”
