SC teachers headed back to the classroom during the pandemic: We want to hear from you

South Carolina teachers are preparing for students’ return to school as COVID-19 transmission remains high in every county across the state.

While many school districts have announced all-virtual starts this fall, S.C. Gov. Henry McMaster and top education officials are pushing in-person instruction, sparking concerns over classroom safety as the coronavirus pandemic continues.

We want to understand how S.C. teachers are feeling about the upcoming academic year. In the survey below, let us know what concerns you have and how you’re preparing.

Do you have access to personal protective equipment (PPE), face masks, and sanitizing equipment? Are you worried about your health or keeping students safe? How will you approach teaching under COVID-19 restrictions?

Your responses will help us report on school reopening across the state. You may be contacted by a reporter, but we won’t publish your name or any identifying information without first obtaining your explicit permission.
