McEntire to host special evening military exercises

McEntire will host evening special operation military exercises Monday, April 13 through Friday, April 17 at McEntire Joint National Guard Base.

First Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, based at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia, is conducting the military exercise, which involved units from the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment from Fort Campbell, Kentucky and Air Force Special Operations Command from Hurlburt Field in Florida.

Soldiers will use training ammunition and other training devices, and a number of different rotary wing and fixed wing aircrafts will be used, according to a release

There will be periods of increased air traffic, including low-flying aircraft, helicopters and airplanes. Increased air traffic and noise may be associated with a large airborne operation involving the Rangers.
