Fort Jackson offers ‘Come See Your Army’ tour

Fort Jackson is offering its popular “Come See Your Army” community tour again this spring.

The fort will host the seven-hour tour, which aims to give participants a look into its day-to-day operations and how soldiers train, beginning at 7:30 a.m. April 30.

The tour will include a basic training graduation ceremony and provide visitors with a chance to use the M16A2 simulator, eat in an Army dining facility and learn more about Fort Jackson and the Army.

The tour is open to ages 13 and older. Reservations are required by April 23. The cost for lunch is $5.55. For more information or to register, call (803) 751-1474.
