Air national guard, Richland sheriff’s office to conduct active shooter exercise at McEntire

The South Carolina Air National Guard and the Richland County Sheriff’s Office will conduct an active shooter exercise at the McEntire Air National Guard base on Thursday.

The exercise, hosted by the 169th Security Forces Squadron, will be the first time the two agencies have trained together for an active shooter response. Residents may see Richland County deputies responding as part of the closely coordinated training.
