SC lottery winner gets early Christmas gift with six-digit jackpot bought at Circle K
Christmas came early for one South Carolina woman who won six-figure lottery jackpot, and said she plans to use her winnings to buy a home.
The Orangeburg mother of two won $275,000 “playing the lottery’s biggest ticket a week before Christmas,” according to Julie Huffman of the South Carolina Education Lottery.
The $10 ticket she won with is Royal Jewel Jackpot, one of the Lottery’s new Gigantix tickets which are over twice the size of a regular lottery ticket.
“I purchased the ticket and put it in my pocketbook,” said the winner. “This ticket doesn’t fit in your pocket.”
The winning ticket was sold at the Circle K at 2744 North Road in Orangeburg, which received a commission of $2,750.
