Columbia man 'stumbles upon' $250,000 after buying winning lottery ticket
A Columbia man walked away a quarter-million dollars richer after playing the lottery Monday, according to a S.C. Education Lottery statement.
The man, who chose to remain unidentified, won $250,000 playing the Win Big! game, which means he beat the 1 in 660,000 odds, according to the statement.
He purchased his winning ticket from the Pantry Express on North Main Street in Columbia, according to the statement. While watching the news, he realized he won one of the four $250,000 prizes.
“It was crazy,” he said, according to the statement. “I just stumbled upon a quarter-of-a-million dollars.”
He’s using the money to take his family on vacation, according to the statement.
