A winning Powerball ticket was sold in South Carolina. Check the numbers on your game
Nobody won the multi-million dollar jackpot in Saturday’s Powerball drawing, but someone who bought a ticket in South Carolina did capture a five-figure prize.
A $50,000 winning ticket was sold in Columbia, South Carolina Education Lottery officials said in a news release.
The winning Powerball game was bought at the Food Lion grocery store at 2900 Leesburg Road, according to the release.
The ticket matched four of the five white balls, along with the red Powerball number, according to the release.
The winning numbers from the drawing were 14, 16, 36, 52, 60 and Powerball: 16.
The winner has 180 days to claim the prize, according to lottery officials.
The winner will be allowed to retain some privacy, as South Carolina is one of eight states — along with Delaware, Kansas, Georgia, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio and Texas — that allow lottery winners to remain anonymous.
The odds of winning $50,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 913,129-to-1, according to the release.
“Sign the back of your ticket and put it in a safe location until you’re ready to come forward to claim the prize,” lottery officials said.
The Food Lion will receive a commission of $500 for selling the winning ticket when it is turned into lottery officials.
In addition to the five-figure jackpot, lottery officials said more than 12,000 ticket holders in South Carolina will win prizes following the Powerball drawing.
There was another Powerball drawing Monday, and there were no jackpot winners.
The next Powerball drawing will be held Wednesday, when the jackpot is estimated to be $210 million.
