This Pennsylvania house listed for $1 million seems perfect — until you look inside
When taking a glance of this towering Victorian masterpiece from the outside, one would assume that the property is the home of some wealthy aristocrat and their family. But judging by the outside alone could prove costly.
Especially if you’re on the market for a, well, completely finished house.
If so, just turn away now.
This 5,852-square-foot building in Cresco, Pennsylvania, seems to lack an entire interior yet is listed on the real estate market for $950,000.
“The grand lady of mountainhome,” the listing on Realtor.com says. “This iconic and massive Victorian home is ideal for the perfect B&B. There are four levels of living space waiting to be finished into your dream palace. “
According to Home of the Rich, the estate, which was originally built in 1902, is in the middle of being restored, which means an interested party will have to shell out a lot more than the expected closing price in order to get the home up and running properly.
“Potential to finish as you wish, this could range from four bedroom suites each with their own private bath and a cozy fireplace or eight bedrooms,” the listing says. “You will want to see the amazing design elements and the spectacular brickwork in the underground wine cellar.”
A new owner can put in an elevator, if they wish, since there’s an existing elevator shaft in the home as well. One of the only things in the house that appears somewhat complete is the four-story metal staircase.
