When imagining a romantic getaway with your partner, the usual destinations tend to get all the glory — from cuddling up next to a fire at a ski resort to gazing at a sunset over the ocean from a hotel suite.

But what about a farm silo?

Or, rather, a former farm silo that is now a chic and sophisticated short-term vacation rental on Airbnb?

Sure, it might have been difficult to create gold out of straw ... er, a round structure that is commonly used to hold dry grain or whatever farmers need to store on their property, but host Josh Geiler and his wife, Danielle, seemed up to the task, according to StlMag.com. The couple bought the silo and ended up relocating it to Bonne Terre before creating the stylish place it is now.

When glancing at the photos, it’s hard to believe it was ever an industrial tool.

Sitting on five acres, the vacation rental offers privacy like no other — for $198 a night.

According to the listing, there’s also no shortage of activities available, including:

  • Fishing (though you gotta bring your own stuff)

  • Biking

  • Sitting around the propane fire pit

  • BBQing on the gas grill

So much is within a short distance as well — a par-3 golf course, shooting range, restaurants, petting zoo and even antique shops.

The listing wasn’t short of former guests who left glowing reviews for the unique place.
