Everything is bigger in Texas – including this lavishly huge mansion headed to auction

Rumor has it that everything is bigger in the grand ol’ state of Texas, and that holds true when it comes to this lavish mansion getting ready to head to the auction block in Houston.

The 14,868-square-foot mansion is currently listed for $27.5 million with no reserve and is set to head to auction on Dec. 8, the listing on Sotheby’s Concierge Auctions says.

“Natural splendor and majestic modern architecture make a perfect pairing in 27 Mott Lane,” the listing says. “A sublime view of Buffalo Bayou is rivaled only by the estate’s contemporary masterpiece of steel, concrete, and glass by renowned architects Stern & Bucek.”

The vast four-bedroom, seven-bathroom smart home not only is flowing with style and sophistication, it comes with a plethora of amenities, including:

  • Huge reception area

  • Floor-to-ceiling windows

  • Gourmet kitchen

  • Formal dining room

  • Balcony

The residence even overlooks a wetland wildlife reserve so there are plenty of views to go around.

The auction will take place on Sotheby’s International’s digital marketplace, which will allow folks from anywhere to log in and bid.
