Mansion of legendary singer John Prine hits the Tennessee market for $5M. Take a look

An elegant piece of music history has listed in Nashville, Tennessee: The mansion owned by the late folk singer-songwriter John Prine has hit the real estate market for $4.95 million.

The four-bedroom, eight-bathroom residence is the definition of elegance with a chic exterior and front-facing terrace that radiates with southern charm. The 7,272-square-foot interior is just as regal, with dark hardwood floors that make its ivory-colored walls pop.

But the real kicker is the deluxe primary suite.

The bedroom comes with two massive closets and a spa-like bathroom with a huge shower and a bathtub, the listing on Sotheby’s International Realty says.

There’s even a 2,700-square-foot unfinished basement with high ceilings and “plenty of room for storage or expansion,” the listing says.

Prine’s iconic career was highlighted with multiple hit albums including “Common Sense” and “The Missing Years” and has had songs that have been covered by artists such as The Everly Brothers, Bette Midler and Joan Baez. He received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020, the same year he died of complications from COVID-19.

The listing is held by Deirdre Kerr and Simon Kerr.
