A 65-year-old woman is missing days after friends said she never showed up to dinner. Now, Georgia authorities are asking the public for help finding her.

Laura Ann Linden was last seen on Saturday, Feb. 11, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators said the last time anyone heard from her was around 6 p.m. via a text message.

Her friends were expecting her for dinner, but she never showed up, according to a Feb. 14 news release.

Concerned neighbors in the Lake Arrowhead community said Linden is new to the area and may have gotten turned around, WAGA reported.

“She’s a new resident so she’s not going to be familiar with the roads and streets and it’s so easy to get turned around in the rain and the fog,” Tony Williams told the station.

He and others in the neighborhood have scoured the area for any sign of the missing woman.

Deputies said Linden drives a gray Nissan Sentra with Georgia tag number SAJ4613. She’s 4 feet, 11 inches and weighs about 95 pounds, according to an alert. It’s unknown what she was last wearing.

Anyone with information on Linden’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.

Cherokee County is about 40 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta.
