Prom is back in season and more extravagant than ever, viral TikToks show.

Students are stepping up their game and sharing beautiful, creative and downright gorgeous looks on social media. While videos of “promprosals” reigned supreme online at a point, there is a new prom trend in town — transition videos.

Most of the prom transition videos first include students or couples in their regular clothes or pajamas. Then, the students will do something — from spinning their date around to flipping them over WWE-style — and the video will seamlessly transition to them wearing their prom outfits.

Here are some viral videos this prom season that absolutely slay.

“This is the prettiest dress I’ve (seen) in a long time,” one viewer told Samantha Rose, who got over 1 million views on her videos of her dress. “You’re stunning.”

Some students added a hint of humor in their prom transition videos — like Gabby Kobak, who got the attention of ESPN with her and her date’s wrestling-style prom video that got over 15 million views.

“Okay this is the most iconic prom transition ever,” one viewer commented.

“I just know you guys are perfect together,” another said.

Other prom-goers integrated local culture into their videos — like the Azalea Trail Maids prom video that one TikTok creator posted out of South Alabama.

Azalea Trail Maids are a group of 50 young women chosen in Mobile, Alabama, to represent the city and attend large community events, according to the ambassador’s website — including prom.

“I used to always want to be an azalea trail maid when I was younger,” one woman commented. “I always loved seeing them at events!!”

“They’re even more gorgeous in person,” another viewer commented. “They go to the official city events.”

Prom transitions are flooding TikTok by the dozens and serve as a way to store memories and share the season across the country with the simple search of a hashtag. Stick around and enjoy a few others that went viral in the past weeks:
