‘That is terrifying.’ Surprises around every corner in house for sale puzzle folks
Well, this is certainly an interesting way to get noticed on the real estate market.
A four-bedroom, four-bathroom house that’s listed for $1 million in Topsfield, Massachusetts, is getting a lot of attention thanks to its surprising guest appearances in the home’s interior photos.
Wonder Woman.
Supergirl.
Maleficent?
Yes, a range of superhero and villain mannequins are spread throughout the 3,267-square-foot residence. Sitting in random corners, one would think it would be somewhat horrifying to tour the house at nighttime, sans lights.
“Batman and a load of female super heroes will be present at the open house! Each mannequin is a true work of art,” the listing on Zillow.com says. “Come check this unique property, take pictures with some all-time fans’ favorites, and make it a family outing.”
There are also other noteworthy features in the house, including:
In-law suite
Elevator
Large two-car garage
Deck
Finished basement
But it was the mannequins that caught the attention of Zillow Gone Wild, a Facebook page and X (formerly Twitter) account that highlights interesting houses up for sale. People were … flummoxed.
“Definitely a commitment to the theme,” one person posted on Facebook.
“I see nothing wrong with this house,” another said.
“Sheer genius at work here,” someone noted.
“That is terrifying,” one person said on X.
“Wealthy people don’t buy Funko Pops they buy full size mannequins,” another joked.
Topsfield is about a 25-mile drive northeast from Boston.
