A woman who relies on her family’s “generosity” to play the lottery won big, Maryland officials said.

The woman’s mom gifted her a $6 Bonus Match 5 ticket she bought at a Walmart in Frederick, according to a Sept. 25 news release by the Maryland Lottery.

When she checked the ticket for the Sept. 23 drawing, she quickly learned she was “next-level lucky,” winning $50,000, officials said.

“I’m tired of working and I need you to get me my winning Lottery ticket!,” the winner remembers telling her mom, who used the birthdates of her grandchildren for the game, according to the release.

Although it’s not enough to retire, the woman plans to use the money to pay off her student loans and potentially go on her dream trip to Paris, officials said.

Frederick is about a 50-mile drive northwest of Baltimore.
