A man from Washington traveled to Las Vegas and got very lucky at a poker table.

Now, he’s going home with $312,996.

The Vancouver man went to the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino on Saturday, Oct. 19, and sat at a Pai Gow poker table, Caesars Entertainment said in a news release.

He ended up with a seven-card straight flush, meaning all his cards were in sequential order and in the same suit.

A straight flush is one of the rarest hands in the game, after a royal flush, according to Upswing Poker.

His winning cards were 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, joker and a jack.

He told the casino he plans to share his prize money with his wife and play more golf.

The Paris Las Vegas is a French-themed casino and hotel with a “half scale replica” of the Eiffel Tower.

Many people can gamble or play games of chance without harm. However, for some, gambling is an addiction that can ruin lives and families.

If you or a loved one shows signs of gambling addiction, you can seek help by calling the national gambling hotline at 1-800-522-4700 or visiting the National Council on Problem Gambling website.
