Wendy’s ditches fan favorite Frosty, but brings back another. Here’s what to know
A beloved Wendy’s Frosty flavor is back — for now.
The vanilla Frosty returned this week, replacing the seasonal salted caramel Frosty at participating Wendy’s restaurants nationwide, according to the fast-food chain.
It will re-join the classic chocolate Frosty on menus for a limited time.
The vanilla dessert was first introduced in 2006 after repeated customer requests and is routinely swapped out with seasonal flavors, according to Wendy’s website.
It was tested in multiple cities including Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and San Antonio, Texas, before being offered nationwide.
“There is nothing quite like the taste and texture of the Frosty,” Ian Rowden, then-chief marketing officer for Wendy’s, said in a news release. “It’s a real treat — one of the best known, most popular and enduring items on our menu.”
Previous seasonal Frosty flavors have included:
- Triple berry
- Orange dreamsicle
- Peppermint
The vanilla Frosty is available for a limited time, though Wendy’s didn’t say for how long.
“Indulge in a spoonful ... before it’s gone – who knows what new Frosty flavor innovations are planned for 2025,” the restaurant said.
