S.C. Gov. Henry McMaster has postponed the annual State of the State address because of possible weather conditions, his spokesman said Wednesday.

McMaster was due to give his first State of the State address Wednesday. Brian Symmes, McMaster’s spokesman, said in a tweet that the address would be rescheduled for Jan. 24.

Symmes said potentially dangerous travel conditions in the Midlands and the Upstate led to the decision.
