Democratic presidential hopeful and Silicon Valley business man Andrew Yang is hosting a fish fry in Hopkins Saturday on his swing through South Carolina.

The fish fry is part of Yang’s Humanity First Tour, and will take place Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at 1432 Crosshill Road in Hopkins, according to a Facebook event.

Yang will be making several stops while in South Carolina this weekend, according to his campaign’s website. After the Hopkins stop, Yang will host a town hall in Columbia Saturday.

On Sunday, Yang will hold a meet and greet at The Silver Dollar on King Street in Charleston.

Tickets — which are available on Yang’s website — are required to attend each event.

Yang’s campaign says he is focused on fighting the threat of automation by creating a universal income, which would give every adult $1,000 each month. The money would come from a tax on companies that uses automation, replacing workers.
