McMaster sings, plays guitar to send off SC seniors at high school graduation

Graduating West Florence High School seniors were treated to a one-man concert Monday, complete with a white guitar and the soulful stylings of South Carolina’s very own governor.

S.C. Gov. Henry McMaster gave the commencement speech at West Florence High School, telling seniors never to underestimate themselves and to keep their South Carolina pride beyond high school.

Afterward, McMaster sat down with his white guitar and offered up a song. His tune of choice? “Mull of Kintyre” by Paul McCartney.

“I know you’ve never seen this before,” he said before singing.

After wrapping up the tune, he told graduates: “There you go. Good luck.”
