Former President Donald Trump, who was elected to be the next U.S. president on Nov. 5, announced Nikki Haley, former South Carolina governor and his former United Nations ambassador, won’t be part of his administration.

“I will not be inviting former Ambassador Nikki Haley, or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, to join the Trump administration, which is currently in formation. I very much enjoyed and appreciated working with them previously, and would like to thank them for their service to our country. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!,” Trump posted on social media.

Trump and Haley have had a tumultuous relationship over the past year as they campaigned against each other for the Republican presidential nomination. Haley was the last rival standing after other Republican candidates dropped out.

While Haley served under Trump as the U.N. ambassador, she called him “unhinged,” and “diminished” during the campaign while Trump called her various names, including “bird brain.”

Haley endorsed Trump a few months after dropping out of the campaign. At the time, Trump said Haley was a “very capable person,” and was sure she would be part of his team “in some form” after Haley said she would vote for him in November.

“I was proud to work with President Trump defending America at the United Nations. I wish him, and all who serve, great success in moving us forward to a stronger, safer America over the next four years,” Haley tweeted in response to Trump’s latest announcement.
