Former President Joe Biden is set to return to South Carolina for a state Democratic Party fundraiser.

The reception in Columbia is scheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 27. The party did not disclose the exact location, but tickets for the event are $125.

The visit will celebrate the six-year anniversary of Biden’s victory in the 2020 South Carolina Democratic Presidential Primary, which propelled him to the nomination and eventually the White House. Biden lost the first three presidential nominating contests that year.

Ahead of the 2024 Democratic Presidential nominating process, Biden called on the Democratic National Committee to move South Carolina to the leadoff spot of the presidential nominating process. South Carolina is now vying to be in the leadoff spot again in 2028.

Biden was last in South Carolina on the last full day in office when he visited Charleston.
