Tim Scott tapped as Allen University’s graduation speaker

U.S. Sen. Tim Scott will give the commencement speech at Allen University’s graduation ceremony Saturday.

A release from the historically black private university touted the North Charleston Republican’s Opportunity Agenda as “a new way forward including robust initiatives that give students and workers the greatest chance to succeed. Tim knows that success is created in studio apartments and garages, at kitchen tables, and in classrooms across the nation – not in government conference rooms in Washington,” the release said.

The graduation starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday in the John Hurst Adams Gymnatorium on Allen’s campus.
