If you’re worried about losing your health insurance under the proposed health care bill moving through the Senate, these protesters think they have a solution – marry your senator.
Members of the liberal group Indivisible Midlands staged a creative protest of the GOP health care bill in the Senate. They shot a music video asking South Carolina’s two unmarried U.S. senators to marry them so they could receive the federal government’s health care benefits.
The YouTube video “Marry You for Health Care” – a parody of a Bruno Mars song – featured S.C. residents moke proposing to Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-Seneca, and Tim Scott, R-North Charleston.
The video caught the attention of MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, who highlighted it for her Twitter followers.
