Governor’s schedule, activities
Gov. Nikki Haley’s publicly announced schedule for the rest of this week, released Monday by her staff, is:
Tuesday, 11 a.m.: Participate in the 2015 S.C. Fit Family Challenge press conference, State House
Wednesday, 10:30 a.m.: Address Children's Mental Health Awareness Week rally, State House
Wednesday, 2 p.m.: Attend the “Rise of the Rest” tour, USS Yorktown, Mount Pleasant
Friday, 3 p.m.: Address a University of South Carolina commencement ceremony, Columbia
According to her staff, Haley’s activities last week included:
3 each: Economic development activities; also, media activities, including a media interview and participating in a press conference to announce the PGA Championship will return to the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island
2 each: Agency meetings or calls, including a Budget and Control Board meeting; also, political activities, addressing the S.C. GOP’s Silver Elephant dinner and state convention; also, ceremonial duties, visiting a new residential development in Bluffton and posing for a photo with the S.C. Poultry Festival’s steering committee at the State House
1 each: Legislative meeting; a constituent meeting; also, a visit to a school, Meeting Street Elementary in North Charleston
Busiest day: Tuesday, with five activities
Slowest days: Monday and Wednesday, with one activity each
Of note: Haley’s schedule included one Saturday activity, attending and speaking at the S.C. GOP Convention
