MORNING BUZZ: Lindsey Graham heads home to launch presidential bid
Candidate Graham announces bid
U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham is going back to his childhood roots to make his bid for the GOP presidential nomination official. Graham will make a formal announcement at 10:30 a.m. on Main Street in Central, S.C., where he grew up, living with his parents in a back room of the family business.
Graham’s announcement makes him the ninth Republican candidate to seek the nomination. He’s widely seen as a long shot, but Graham has said he sees a path forward for him as long as national security and terrorism are at the top of voters’ minds.
