SC’s Graham announces state finance team for presidential bid
A day after making his presidential campaign official, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham announced a state finance committee with more than 100 S.C. business and community leaders supporting his bid.
Graham’s finance chairman is former U.S. ambassador to Canada and former S.C. House Speaker David Wilkins, now a partner at the Columbia-based Nelson, Mullins, Riley and Scarborough law firm.
Graham’s 13 co-chairs of his S.C. finance team include:
▪ Charleston billionaire Anita Zucker, chair and chief executive officer of the InterTech Group
▪ Two former S.C. commerce secretaries: Robert Royall, a retired banking executive from Mount Pleasant and former U.S. ambassador to Tanzania, and Joe Taylor of Columbia, chief executive officer of Southland Capital Partners
▪ Charleston attorney Bart Daniel, a former U.S. attorney
▪ Columbia’s Bill Stern, chairman of the S.C. Ports Authority
