SC Politics: Haley to address DC press Wednesday
Gov. Nikki Haley’s publicly announced schedule for the rest of this week, released Monday by her staff, includes one event — an address at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
According to her staff, Haley’s activities last week included:
9: Policy meetings or calls
3: Meetings about education, including one with Education Superintendent Molly Spearman
2: Emanuel AME-related events, a phone call to the church’s pastor, the Rev. Norvel Goff, and attendance at a memorial service at the church
1 each: A meeting with John Pinckney; also, an agency meeting, a meeting of the State Fiscal Accountability Authority in Columbia; also, a media call; also, a conference call with the state’s Emergency Management Division; also, a political function, attending a reception for the S.C. House Republican Caucus in Greenville; also, a call to Darlington Raceway president Chip Wile
Busiest day: Tuesday, with six activities
Slowest day: Monday, with two activities
