SC politics: Haley leaves Wednesday for week-long European trad mission

Gov. Nikki Haley’s publicly announced schedule for this week, released Monday by her staff, is:

Wednesday to Thursday, Sept. 17: With economic development officials, travel to Europe on a trade mission with stops to include Gothenburg, Sweden; Munich, Germany; and Frankfurt, Germany.

According to her staff, Haley’s activities last week included:

5: Policy meetings

3: Meetings or calls concerning an unidentified state agency or agencies

2: Phone calls to Charleston Mayor Joe Riley and Dr. Janet Woodcock

1 each: Meeting of the S.C. Domestic Violence Taskforce; also, a speech to the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.; also, presentation of the S.C. Prisoner of War Medal to World War II veterans; also, an economic-development meeting; also, an education meeting

Busiest day: Thursday and Friday, with five activities each

Slowest day: Wednesday, with one activity
