Trump starts airing radio ads in SC
Donald Trump is coming to your radio.
The 2016 Republican presidential front-runner will begin airing radio ads Thursday as part of a $300,000 buy in the early-primary states of South Carolina, Iowa and New Hampshire.
This is Trump’s first major ad buy.
The New York billionaire said he set aside a budget of more than $20 million for ads, but, “because of the success my campaign has had, I haven't had to spend any of it.”
He will debut the ad on MSNBC on Thursday morning. The ads will run through the end of November.
Trump continues to lead retired Maryland neurosurgeon Ben Carson by 13 percentage points in South Carolina, according to averages from Real Clear Politics.
Trump holds a similar-size lead in New Hampshire.
Carson gone ahead of Trump in Iowa, however.
