Fox Business Network has announced the moderators for the first Republican debate in South Carolina this year.
Neil Cavuto, a network anchor and managing editor of business news, will moderate the primetime debate with anchor and global markets editor Maria Bartiromo at the North Charleston Coliseum and Performing Arts Center on Jan. 14. Anchors Trish Regan and Sandra Smith will moderate the 6 p.m. debate.
The lineup for each debate will be decided by candidates' polling numbers. Those who rank in the top six in an average of the five most recent national polls, the top five in Iowa based on an average of the five most recent state polls or in the top five in New Hampshire based on an average of the five most recent state polls will be included in the primetime debate. The remaining candidates who register at at least 1 percent in one of the five most recent national polls will be included in the 6 p.m. debate.
Both debates will focus on "economic, domestic and international policy issues," according to a network release.
