Berkeley County Coroner rules death of Moncks Corner 2-year-old boy an accidental drowning

A 2-year-old boy died after drowning, the Berkeley County Coroner said Monday.

Bryce Ruby’s death was ruled an accidental drowning by Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury following an investigation by his office and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.

Ruby was discovered floating face down in an above-ground swimming pool at his Moncks Corner residence Aug. 11 and was flown to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston where he died on Aug. 14, the Berkeley County Coroner said.
