Two dead in Pickens shooting

Two men are dead and one person is in custody after a fatal shooting outside the city of Pickens, according to Chief Deputy Creed Hashe.

There is believed to be no danger to the community around the scene at the corner of N. Homestead Rd. and Gilliland Road, Hashe said.

The names of the victims have not been released awaiting word from the corner, Hashe said

Deputies are investigating a possible history of conflict between the alleged shooter and the two men who were out walking on N. Homestead Road when they were shot, Hashe said.
