FAIR PLAY, SC

A two-vehicle collision on I-85 Monday morning resulted in the death of a woman.

Lam Le, 48, from Chamblee, Ga., died from head trauma at the scene of the collision, near mile marker 3, said Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis.

According to Addis, Le was wearing her seat belt in the front passenger seat in a car driven by her husband, whose condition is unknown after he was transported to an area hospital. At approximately 6:20 a.m., Le’s vehicle was headed south, when it crossed the median into the northbound lane and was struck in the passenger side by a northbound pickup truck, Addis said.

The truck driver’s condition is also unknown after being transported to an area hospital.
