Lexington man injured after small plane crashes in Pittsylvania
Officials say a Lexington man was injured after a small plane crashed in Pittsylvania County.
Virginia State Police said four people were on the plane that was flying from Charleston to Baltimore, Md., Sunday when it began losing power. Police say as the pilot tried to make an emergency landing, its wing hit the trees and the plane overturned onto its roof.
Officials say the pilot was Stephen C. Lloyd of Lexington. He was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The three others who were on board were not injured.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash.
