South Carolina boy dies after falling into swimming pool

Authorities say a 3-year-old boy who fell into a swimming pool at a South Carolina home has died and another remains hospitalized.

The Greenville News reports that the Anderson County Sheriff’s office responded to a call on Saturday afternoon.

Lt. Sheila Cole says two 3-year-old boys were taken to the hospital after falling into the pool at a home in Easley.

She says one of the children died.
