Bojangles’ ceiling collapses onto tables as diners eat their lunch, NC video shows

The ceiling at a North Carolina Bojangles’ collapsed into the dining area last week.

Holly Thomas said on Twitter she was eating lunch at the Bojangles’ on Hickory Ridge Drive in Greensboro on Friday when the ceiling “just fell.”

“I am SHOOK,” she wrote along with posting a video of the collapsed ceiling.

The video shows the fallen ceiling on chairs and tables in the dining area and debris scattered on the floor.

No one in the restaurant was hurt, Bojangles’ spokesperson Brian Little told McClatchy news group.

Bojangles’ doesn’t know why the ceiling collapsed and is working to “determine a cause,” Little said.

A contractor has been hired to fix the ceiling, and the dining area should reopen Wednesday, according to Little. The restaurant’s drive-thru remains open.
