Lucky lottery player just won $1,000 a day in North Carolina, but hasn’t claimed it yet
A North Carolina lottery player is getting $1,000 a day for life.
But the lucky person hasn’t claimed the prize yet, the N.C. Education Lottery said Friday.
Someone is getting the big windfall after buying the winning ticket Wednesday or Thursday, lottery spokesperson Kathleen Jacob wrote in an email to McClatchy News.
The Lucky for Life ticket was sold at a Food Lion grocery store in Pfafftown, a uniquely named community roughly 9 miles northwest of downtown Winston-Salem.
The winner matched six numbers in Thursday’s drawing, becoming the third person to win the game’s top prize in North Carolina, the lottery posted on Twitter.
The winner has about six months to come forward.
