Porter & Pig opens on Hilton Head Island
Looking for a charcuterie place on Hilton Head Island? You might want to check out Porter & Pig.
The restaurant, now open at 1000 William Hilton Parkway in The Village at Wexford, offers platters such as prosciutto crudo, roasted duck breast and aged salami, which are served with pickled vegetables, olives, crackers, sliced baguette, blackberry compote, nuts, and fresh and dried fruit.
If that's not enough food for you, or you're feeling less ambitious, Porter & Pig also offers four "grilled gourmet sandwiches," according to owner Ivy Burdick: Cuban press, Hot Pig, The Gourmet and Canard. The website says these are "perfect for sharing."
The drink menu includes craft beer, wines by the glass and cocktails.
"We're basically a craft beer and craft cocktail place," Burdick said. "We have regional and seasonal varieties on tap that we rotate."
