Two people were in custody Thursday night after electrical line workers said they were shot at Thursday afternoon while on the job in Ridgeville, WCSC television reported.
Workers for the Berkeley Electric Cooperative were working on a two week project converting a substation off Highway 176 when they apparently came under fire.
An initial report released by the company said that two people drove by the workers and fired 6 to 10 shots in the air.
No one was injured.
The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the incident.
